Part 1: 1.5 Hour Buggy tour Adventure
- Pickup & Gear Up: Your adventure begins with a pickup at 09:00 from your hotel or a designated bus stop. You’ll be transported to our basecamp, where our professional guides will equip you with the necessary gear and provide a briefing on how to operate the Buggies.
- Scenic Drive & Ascent: Begin your adventure with a ride along the beautiful Lake Hafravatn, navigating through a variety of fun and challenging terrains. Head upwards to the top of Reykjavik Peak Mountain, the high point of your journey.
- Drop-off: After your thrilling Buggy adventure, you’ll be dropped off at the BSI Bus Terminal, ready for the next part of your journey.
Part 2: Sky Lagoon Experience
- Transfer to Sky Lagoon: At 12:00, board a comfortable coach with Reykjavik Excursions for a short 15-minute drive to the Sky Lagoon.
- Relax & Unwind: Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the rejuvenating warm waters of the Sky Lagoon. Enjoy the tranquil geothermal pools and indulge in the exclusive 7-step ritual, while taking in the stunning views of the North Atlantic Ocean.
- Return Times from Sky Lagoon: After your relaxing time at the lagoon, choose from the following return times to Reykjavik: 14:30, 15:30, 16:30, 17:30, 18:30, 19:30, 20:30, or 21:30.

- Pricing: All prices are per person. For single riders, book the single-rider option. A minimum of two participants is required for the shared option.

I've never driven a buggy. Is that difficult?
No, our buggies are very easy to drive. They are automatic machines that you will master in only a few minutes.
Do I need off-road experience to drive your machines?
No prior experience is needed. You will be driving an automatic 4-wheel-drive UTV with a full roll cage and long-travel suspension. It has the same controls as any automatic car or truck. Put the shift lever into drive and go. Even shifting into 4-wheel drive is just the push of a button.
What clothes should I wear?
Wear something you don't mind getting wet and/or dirty. It is a very good idea to bring an extra set of clothing. Wear a warm base layer (the one touching your skin); wool and synthetic materials are best.
What safety riding gear do you provide?
We provide our customers with a helmet, gloves, a balaclava and waterproof overalls.
What is the minimum age of buggy drivers and passengers?
The minimum age for buggy drivers is 17 and the minimum age for passengers is 6. A driver's licence is required.
Are these buggies safe?
Yes. These buggies are very safe. They are built with a low centre of gravity, so they are not tippy, and passengers sit in a 4-point harness inside a complete roll cage. They are much safer than ATV quad bikes.
What is the pace of the tour?
You set the pace of your tour. The pace always depends on the slowest driver. The tour is not a race. It should be fun, and you will also be able to enjoy the scenery.
What kind of machines do you use on your tours?
At Buggy Adventures we use top-of-the-line, factory-made 4-wheel-drive Can-Am 800cc buggies. They were designed with quality, performance and safety in mind, and their long-travel suspension provides the smoothest ride possible over rugged terrain. Will the tour be cancelled if it's raining?
No way, it's even more fun riding in the rain!
