Tour itinerary

Come snowmobile with us in the highlands of Langjökull in West Iceland. While the bigger part of tourists in Iceland travel to the south for the Golden Circle, we often talk about this westside is the other side of the Glacier with much fewer people traveling to this area. But don´t let that fool you, this area has a lot to offer and it´s much quieter than the east side. Húsafell is an oasis in the desert with a beautiful forest between two mountain ridges and there is our meeting point and the beginning of your snowmobile adventure.

Our professional guides will take you on an exciting 1-hour expedition around the vast snowfield, giving you the chance to take in panoramic views of breathtaking scenery while breathing in the refreshing, crisp air.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions about this tour

If you want to drive a snowmobile, you have to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.

Since the weather is unpredictable, always bring comfortable outdoor clothes, warm layers, with waterproof and windproof outer-layers. Jeans are not suitable clothing; a waterproof jacket and shoes and a warm sweater are highly recommended. It’s best to wear boots as it’s pretty cold on the glacier and they can get wet. You or your passenger can wear a small backpack or a camera bag while riding on a snowmobile. Please ensure all zips, straps, and flaps are secured when your snowmobile is in motion. Bring some snack or packed lunch. Bring your personal daily medications if required – please let us know of any allergies or medical conditions that you may require assistance with.

Full payment is required at time of booking to secure your place. We require 24 hrs notice of cancellation for a refund. Any cancellation made within less than 24 hours prior to departure will be fully charged.

At all times your safety is our first priority. You can expect any kind of weather in Iceland. For this reason, the tour itinerary may be subject to change the sights without notice or the tour might be canceled due to weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the timing changes, we will need your valid mobile phone number to contact you and inform you of the time change. Please don’t forget to fill out your phone number on the booking form. If the tour is canceled, you can choose to receive a full refund or to reschedule your tour for another day. Access to the glacier may be difficult at times, leaving little time for other sightseeing. We make every effort to avoid any such changes wherever possible.
